Born out of a commitment to empowering individuals and businesses, as the sole banking beacon in Ijegun between 1992 and 2007, not only fostered a banking culture in the semi-urban area but also played a pivotal role in mobilizing savings and providing crucial financial assistance to numerous small-scale and micro enterprises.

8th July, 1995

In 1995, the bank increased its authorized share to #10million.

2nd January, 2008

GMFB operates from its owned premises at 295 Ikotun Road, Ijegun, Ijegun Town, where the bank is situated, is in Alimosho Local Government Area (ALGA) of Lagos State, bordered by Ijagemo and Ije-ododo in the South, Isheri-Osun, Oke-rube and Abaranje in the west and east of ALGA.

GMFB's journey is rooted in its commitment, financial inclusion, community development and Corporate Social Responsibilities.

11th August 1992

Glory Microfinance bank started as Ijegun Community Bank Nig. Limited with authorized capital of #250,000 with a 7 man board of directors.

4th June, 2007

As a community bank, Ijegun Community Bank positively impacted Ijegun Town between 1992 and 2007, establishing a banking culture in a semi-urban area, mobilizing millions in savings, and aiding small-scale enterprises. In 2007, the bank successfully passed the conversion process by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to become Glory Micro Finance Bank Limited, starting with the goodwill from its predecessor.

2008 - Date

The bank has been a vital contributor to the financial development of Ijegun, fostering a culture of savings and providing financial support to small businesses.
